Grow Wild York CIC

We are a vibrant community hub located at Beetle Bank Open Farm, Murton. Beetle Bank has a long history of welcoming the community and charitable organisations onto its land.  In 2022 Beetle Bank made a commitment to pursue its social and environmental work by co-founding Grow Wild York CIC.

We are a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) managing 1.6acres of land at Beetle Bank Farm. We have a mission to create a community hub based around the principles of permaculture and rewilding.  

Grow Wild is tackling good health, wellbeing and reducing inequalities through bringing people together. We aspire to use nature, great food and meaningful work experiences to empower community and friendship whilst also tackling loneliness and supporting young people into work. To do this we are transforming 1.6 acres of grass paddock into a  Community Food Forest and Wildflower Meadow.

We have regular volunteer/service user groups on Wednesdays and Fridays 9.30am-2.30pm.
